CYBERJAYA, a planned township with the Enterprise Zone, a dedicated zone for the ICT industry as the core component of the development, forms a key part of the original 15 km x 50 km Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) in Malaysia. It is located in the district of Sepang, Selangor and is strategically situated about 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur, the nation business centre; adjacent to Putrajaya, the nation administrative centre of Malaysia and 30 km from the regional air transportation hub, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)‏

CYBERJAYA was officiated by the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad (now Tun) on 17 May 1997.
